Dental Treatment in Türkiye – My Honest Experience, Cost, and Final Result
I had been living for years with teeth that were worn down, uneven, and increasingly problematic. I kept waiting for the “right moment,” hoping that one day I would finally be able to fix them properly. But when my teeth became so painful that even eating started to suffer, I realized: I could no longer postpone it.
In Estonia, this meant long waiting times, a fragmented treatment plan, and very high costs. So I started looking for alternatives and came across something I had previously only observed from a distance – dental treatment in Türkiye.
Today I can say that this decision changed far more than just my smile.
In this post, I will honestly share:
- how the entire process looked
- how much it cost
- whether I was afraid
- how recovery went
- whether I would recommend it to others
This is not a paid advertisement, but my real experience. If it helps someone make a better decision or find hope, then this post has served its purpose.

1. Why I chose dental treatment in Türkiye
My teeth had been problematic for years. In addition to aesthetics, I increasingly experienced sensitivity to hot and cold, daily pain, and infections. At some point, I realized it was no longer just about appearance – the condition of my teeth was affecting my everyday life.
When I looked into treatment options in Estonia, I was faced with a harsh reality:
- long waiting times
- treatment spread over several years in multiple stages
- very high costs
At the same time, I kept hearing about people who had gone to Türkiye for dental treatment. At first, I was skeptical. Honestly, very skeptical.
But the more I researched, the more I realized that there are highly advanced clinics there specializing in international patients. Moreover, veneers have been placed in Türkiye for 15–20 years longer than in Estonia, meaning they have significantly more experience.
2. How I found the clinic and how communication started
My contact began via Instagram. From there, I was directed to the clinic assistant Baris, and communication continued on WhatsApp.
I sent photos of my teeth and a description of my situation. Quite quickly, I received a preliminary treatment plan.
What immediately stood out:
- fast responses
- very good English
- calm answers to every question
- warm and professional communication
Honestly, at first Baris’ friendliness felt almost unnatural – I was not used to such highly attentive service in Estonia. Later I realized it was genuine. I have since become very good friends with Baris.
The initial offer included:
- hotel accommodation
- airport transfers
- X-rays
- deep cleaning
- root canal treatment
- 10 crowns and 10 veneers
- night guards
- lifetime free follow-up consultations via video
It gave the impression that someone had truly thought the entire process through.
3. Arrival in Türkiye and 7 clinic days
The trip lasted from October 28 to November 10.
Before leaving, I was nervous. The idea that lifelong dental problems would be solved in just a few days felt unreal.
First positive surprise
At the airport, a very premium transfer was waiting for us. Even though our flight was delayed for several hours, I did not have to arrange anything myself – the clinic tracked everything and adjusted the transfer accordingly. Everything worked smoothly from the very beginning.
This immediately created a sense of safety.
First treatment days
The first day included examinations, cleaning, and preparation. Several previously untreated issues were discovered.
It was both shocking and relieving.
Shocking – because I realized how much work actually needed to be done.
Relieving – because finally someone was addressing the real cause.
The hardest day
The most difficult day was when the lower teeth were prepared for veneers. It was physically and mentally quite intense.
I won’t sugarcoat it: some moments that day were very hard.
But at the same time, I constantly felt I was in good hands – in the hands of the incredibly kind and supportive Dr Ezgi. Everything was explained step by step, I was taken into consideration, and I was not treated as “just another patient.”
I will describe my full 7-day clinic experience in a separate post.
Something changed in my mindset
Around the middle of the trip, I realized I no longer felt anxiety sitting in the dental chair.
For me – who arrived on day one with shaking hands and voice – this was a huge shift.
The final result
In the last days, crowns and veneers were placed. When I saw the final result in the mirror for the first time, it honestly felt surreal.
My only thought was:
Are these really my teeth?
4. Final treatment plan and cost
On-site, the treatment plan was adjusted – this is completely normal. Only after full diagnostics and X-rays could the real situation be evaluated.
My final treatment included:
- 10 zirconium crowns
- 12 veneers
- root canal treatments
- fillings
- laser gum correction
- temporary crowns
- deep cleaning
- night guards
Total cost: €5,750
This also included accommodation and several additional services.
5. Price comparison with Estonia
When comparing a similar scope of treatment in Estonia, the total cost would have been significantly higher.
Based on two Estonian clinic price lists (spring 2025), approximate “starting from” prices suggest the following:
| Service | Clinic 1 | Clinic 2 |
|---|---|---|
| Dental crowns | 10 x from 450€ | 10 x from 620€ |
| Veneers | 12 x from 500€ | 12 x from 620€ |
| Root canal | 2 x 350-900€ | 2 x 847€ |
| Impressions | 22 x 30€ | 22 x 40€ |
| Temporary crowns | 12 x 150€ | 12 x 50€ |
| Crown cementation | 10 x 30€ | 10 x 37€ |
| Initial consultation | 45€ | 48€ |
| 3D X-ray (full jaw) | 50€ | from 73€ |
| Total sum: | from 13 055 – 13 255€ | from 16 065€ |
Estimated total:
- Clinic 1: ~€13,055–€13,255
- Clinic 2: ~€16,065
In addition, you must consider:
- time
- number of visits
- logistics
- waiting periods
For me, it was not only about price, but about the complete solution.
6. Recovery after treatment
The first days were naturally quite uncomfortable:
- sore gums
- tooth sensitivity
- adjustment to a new temporary diet
- jaw discomfort
- quicker fatigue in the jaw
This is normal.
After about a couple of weeks, I already felt much more comfortable.
A very important truth:
Treatment does not end at the clinic. Proper aftercare is part of the result.
I personally used:
- saltwater rinse after every meal
- soft toothbrush
- toothpaste for sensitive teeth
- alcohol-free mouthwash
- water flosser / irrigator
7. Would I recommend dental treatment in Türkiye?
Honest answer: yes, but not blindly.
I would recommend it if you:
- carefully choose the clinic
- research its background
- communicate thoroughly and truly understand the plan
- accept that this is a major medical procedure, not just cosmetic work
- are ready for disciplined aftercare
I do not recommend going only because it is cheaper.
Go for quality, not just price. And definitely not just as a holiday – although it def can be on as well.
8. If you are considering the same step
If you are reading this and wondering whether to go or not, whether to take the risk or stay in Estonia, I completely understand. I was in the same place.
I doubted. I was afraid. I googled at night. I wondered if I was making a mistake.
Today I am very grateful I took that step.

Conclusion
The thought that best describes this entire experience is:
It should have always been like this.
Not just the teeth.
But the feeling of being able to smile freely, eat, be in front of a camera, talk to people, and not constantly think about your teeth.
That sense of freedom is much bigger than I ever expected.
